EDUCATIONAL FOOD FAIRS
Target Hunger hosts more than 80 Food Fairs at several locations year-round. Recipients receive 30-40 pounds of healthy, fresh, seasonal produce and other pantry staples. Clients benefit from education programs that connect the community with vital resources through participation with collaborating nonprofit organizations.
EMERGENCY FOOD PACKS
For those who need emergency food, Target Hunger provides portable, easy-to-prepare daypacks each month that contain calorie-dense food for people who are living without a permanent home or kitchen. Individuals are limited to one daypack every three months. Recipients do not need to be a registered Target Hunger client.
The mobile pantry, a climate-controlled walk-thru grocery store, allows Target Hunger to serve clients at low-income apartment complexes and other locations that will accommodate clients who have transportation and/or childcare barriers to access.
Brings monthly food directly to the homes of low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities who reside in our primary service area. A partnership with United Way Worldwide and DoorDash has allowed us to grow the amount of people that benefit from this program.
SUMMER BREAKFAST & LUNCH PROGRAM
This program provides bi-weekly distribution to children during June, July, and August of nutritious, easy-to-prepare breakfast and lunch food. The program ensures that children do not go hungry just because school is out and spares their parents the heartbreaking choice of deciding whether to skip meals to make payments on rent, utilities, or medical expenses.
COMMUNITY PARTNER PROGRAM
Our growing Community Partner Program harnesses the power of collaboration and works with organizations whose missions help people overcome barriers that keep them locked in a cycle of poverty. Target Hunger serves as the food arm to help amplify the impact of the partnering programs.
During times of crisis and natural disasters, Target Hunger provides food relief to our community.
