Target Hunger serves thousands of vulnerable households whose residents suffer from food insecurity each month. In 2023 Target Hunger provided food to over 21,500 individuals and 1,582 Navigation referrals to 1,078 households.

This distribution of nutritious food is accomplished through multiple food pantries, educational food fairs, an extensive home delivery program, summer break food programs for children, mobile distribution sites, a growing community partner program, and emergency food assistance.

Target Hunger’s Willie H. & Gladys R. Goffney Community Garden located in Kashmere Gardens and our Green Mountain Energy Sun Club Shotwell Garden located at our main warehouse that welcomes volunteer groups and produces thousands of pounds of fresh produce.

Additionally, we address the plight of families trapped in long-term food insecurity and intergenerational poverty. Our Navigation Services team provides social service assistance in English and Spanish. The team helps connect people to services including rental or utility assistance, access to healthcare and health insurance enrollment, or referrals to a wide network of groups that specialize in helping individuals overcome barriers to improving their life prospects.
